Laser and Skincare MedSpa was founded in January of 2005 by Dr. Maureen Bakken, a graduate of Family Practice at the University of Alberta, Edmonton in 1978. Her interest in dermatology and wellness medicine has expanded to include evidence-based practice in anti-aging medicine. This encompasses lifestyle counselling and the use of health supplements along with lasers, and pulsed light sources, Neuromodulators for wrinkles and Therapeutic and Cosmetic fillers.
She is a member of the American Academy of Anti- Aging Medicine, the Canadian Association of Aesthetic Medicine and the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
Our centre in Alberta offers medical and cosmetic treatments such as Neuromodulators for wrinkles, Juvederm Fillers, Laser Hair Removal, Weight Loss with the Zerona Fat Removal Laser and dermatological treatment for acne and other skin conditions causing facial imperfection. As an affiliate of the Hair Loss Control Clinic, we offer clients a program that can help with thinning hair, damaged hair, scalp conditions and more. Laser and Skincare MedSpa also offers Vistitan – the only product approved by Health Canada for eyelash growth.
